Solar Panel Installation - Why Install Solar Panels on Grid?

12 Dec

Solar panels are becoming more popular now days. This has become one of the key ways to reduce the power consumption from the electricity company. This is one of the best green options to reduce your monthly power bills, as well as being an environmental friendly choice. So, what exactly can be done when thinking about solar panel installation? The main place for the optimum installation of solar panels is on the roof. Since the panels receive the most sunlight during the day time, they get the most efficient sunlight necessary for the conversion of energy into electricity. Nonetheless, if direct installation on the roof isn't ideal or wanted, then the solar panels can also be installed on the ground. The best part about this is that the installation process is a lot easier than with any other method!

The second method to power residential solar panels is by 'net metering'. With net metering, your electricity distributor gives you credits for surplus electricity that you produce. So, you can actually sell back excess electricity to the electric company! It's a very simple system, where your excess electricity is purchased at a discounted price, and then you can be compensated the amount of the purchase (by the electric company) for using it.

The most important thing to remember about net metering is to make sure you buy back the amount of electricity that you sold to the electric company before you receive your 'buy back' credit. So, even if you don't use all the excess electricity, you still have it, and you can use it to offset your power bill each month. For most people, this is enough to negate the costs of the solar panels, and two savings. The main drawback to this is that during the day, your kw/yr production may increase slightly (due to more sun shining into the panels), but once nighttime hits, your production will come down due to the sun being less bright and therefore lowering your own production.

Another type of residential solar system is called an inverter-resistance system. This installation is used when there are a lot of variable conditions in your area, and you need to compensate for that, and an inverter does that for you. With an inverter-resistance system, the solar system is connected to your house to compensate for the differences in current between the house and the panels. This requires the use of a battery to store the energy, which then powers the inverter.

The best time to install solar panels on-grid is in the late winter or early spring, when the sun is at its strongest. The closer you are to the equator, the better. Also, the colder it gets outside, the less sunlight you will receive. Installing solar panels on-grid is the most economical choice in the long run, and you can easily make money by installing solar panels on-grid for your home. The most important thing is that you do this as soon as possible. The sooner you install solar panels on-grid, the sooner you will be saving money on your electricity and heating bills!  If you want to know more about this topic, then click here:
